What is Kursa?

    Kursa is a Latvian summer school that was founded in 1974 to teach Latvian language and culture. Each day begins with grammar, history, folk dancing, and singing classes. After lunch, student participate in study hour and handiwork classes before evening dinner and activities. Most students are of high school age (14-18 years old).

Draudzīgais aicinājums

The Latvian national day to remember schools, Draudzīgais aicinājums is an event that Kursa has held annually for the last 29 years. This is held usually at the end of January or the begining of February, since the actual holiday is January 28th.
