Scholarships:

We encourage students to request scholarships from local organizations such as Latvian church, Latvian associations in your state, the jaunatnes fonds, and from ALA (the American Latvian Association), which allocates funds to Kursa for scholarship purposes. (To request this scholarship, students should write to Kursa).

It would be ideal if all students attended Kursa for the full five week period. Organizations are generous in making scholarship contributions, especially if the student attends the full school session.

Scholarship request letters should be sent to organizations soon because the board members of these organizations need time to meet and decide on how to allocate any scholarship funds they may have. It is important that scholarship request letters indicate the number of weeks the student will be attending Kursa.
