Scholarships

For families who would benefit from financial support, please apply for Kursa scholarships and contact local Latvian associations, churches or other groups. These organizations often support students with partial or full scholarships for camp fees and sometimes even help with travel expenses. Please contact the organizations directly for scholarship opportunities and the application process.

Applications are open for the following scholarships; more details will follow in the spring regarding application deadlines:

  • To request scholarship information from the Latvian Society of Washington State (LBVŠ), please contact Sarmīte Davidson (email) LBVŠ chairperson by June 8. LBVŠ scholarship guidelines will be sent to the applicant; it is expected the student is an active participant in the Seattle Latvian Center events.

  • Students who are connected to the Seattle Latvian parish, school or local community can apply for the Seattle Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church and/or parish Ladies Committee scholarships (separate scholarships) by sending an inquiry to the parish board leader Jānis Šulcs (email) and/or parish ladies committee leader Maija Atvars (email) by June 15.
