We also invite students to complete a short survey, shared by an 11th-grade student at the Riga English Gymnasium. She is studying diaspora Latvian youth and their relationship to Latvia and Latvian identity. The 5 minute anonymous survey is available in Latvian or English. Please share the survey with your students! The American Latvian Association (ALA) has set the dates for their educational travel programs. “Sveika, Latvija!” and “Heritage Latvia”, for Latvian-heritage youth ages 13-15. These programs provide an immersive way to explore Latvia’s culture, history, and landscapes while connecting with peers in Latvia. Language expectations vary by program to accommodate different proficiency levels.
